Not every yard needs to be torn apart and rebuilt from scratch. Sometimes the bones are already there - the layout works, the structure makes sense - it just needs some attention and a fresh eye. That's exactly the kind of situation we ran into here.

The before tells the story pretty clearly. The rock bed had lost its shape, the shrubs were overgrown and rangy, and the whole front of the house just felt a little tired and forgotten. Nothing catastrophic. But enough to drag down the overall look of an otherwise sharp home.

What we focused on was cleaning everything up and bringing the bed back to a polished, intentional feel. The shrubs got trimmed down to clean, tight shapes. The rock bed was tidied up and re-edged so the border between the lawn and the bed reads crisp and deliberate. Small things, but they add up fast.

The difference between before and after isn't about adding more - it's about making what's already there look its best. A well-kept landscape bed signals that a home is cared for. It's one of the first things people notice, and it sets the tone for everything else.

If your front beds are looking a little rough around the edges, that's usually all it takes - a focused cleanup, some shaping, and the right attention to detail. That's what good landscaping work is really about.
