When a commercial property is heading to market, first impressions aren't optional - they're everything. Overgrown edges, bare beds, and neglected green spaces can quietly kill a deal before anyone even steps inside. That's exactly the kind of situation we walked into here.
We brought in 25 tons of decorative granite to anchor the landscaping and give it that clean, finished look that holds up over time. Granite is low maintenance, it drains well, and it photographs great - which matters a lot when a property is actively being marketed. We worked it into the beds along the building's perimeter and throughout the back courtyard area, creating a consistent look that ties the whole property together.
New plantings went in throughout the beds - a mix of foliage and flowering plants that add some life and color without making the space feel high-maintenance. The back of the property also got a solid brush hogging pass to knock back the overgrowth that had crept in along the tree line. It's the kind of work that doesn't always get noticed right away, but the difference between a property that looks cared for and one that doesn't is almost always in the edges and the back corners.
There's also a retaining wall area in the rear with built-in steps leading up the slope - granite beds wrapping the base and fresh plantings tucked in throughout. It's a functional space that now actually looks like someone intended it to be there. That's the goal with commercial work - everything should look deliberate.
Properties that go to market with clean, sharp landscaping simply perform better. Whether it's a sale, a lease, or just long-term asset maintenance, the outside of a building sets the tone for everything else.
